Christian 12-Step Recovery Group

Freedom, Healing, and Hope Through Christ

Our Christian 12-Step Recovery Group is a Christ-centered, trauma-informed community designed for individuals seeking freedom from addiction and life-controlling struggles. This group integrates the traditional 12 Steps with biblical truth, prayer, Scripture, and supportive community—recognizing that Jesus is the ultimate Healer.

You do not have to walk this journey alone. Healing begins in honesty, grows in community, and is sustained through a deepening relationship with God.

    • Christ-Centered: Every step is grounded in Scripture and guided by the Holy Spirit

    • Grace-Filled & Trauma-Informed: No shaming, fixing, or forcing—only compassion and truth

    • Community-Based: Healing happens best in safe, supportive relationships

    • Confidential & Safe: What is shared in group stays in group

    • Growth-Oriented: Focused on spiritual maturity, accountability, and lasting freedom

    • Length: 12–14 weeks (one step per week, plus introduction and closing)

    • Session Duration: 60–90 minutes

    • Group Size: 6–12 participants

    • Who It’s For: Adults seeking recovery from addiction or life-controlling behaviors who desire a faith-based approach

Materials Used: Bible, guided workbook, prayer, worship, and reflection practices

  • Each session follows a consistent, calming structure to promote safety and trust:

    2. Worship or Centering Practice (5 minutes)

      • Worship song

      • Breath prayer (e.g., “Jesus, bring Your peace”)

      • Reading a Psalm together

      • Sharing is encouraged, never forced

    5. Personal Reflection (5 minutes)

      • Journaling or silent prayer

    6. Closing Prayer & Scripture Blessing

      • Often ends with Numbers 6:24–26

    • No fixing, rescuing, or unsolicited advice

    • Honor personal boundaries and readiness

    • Celebrate progress, not perfection

    • Normalize struggle while pointing to hope

    • Keep Christ at the center of all healing

  • Step 1: Admit Powerlessness

    Theme: Honesty & Humility
Healing begins when we step out of secrecy and into truth, recognizing our need for God.

Step 2: Believe God Can Restore You

    Theme: Hope & Healing
God restores hearts, relationships, and identity. Nothing is impossible with Him.

    Step 3: Surrender to God

    Theme: Trust & Letting Go
Surrender is a daily choice to release control and place trust in God.

    Step 4: Moral Inventory

    Theme: Truth-Telling & Courage
This step is about reflection, not shame—Jesus reveals in order to heal.

    Step 5: Confession & Grace

    Theme: Freedom & Healing
Confession in safe spaces opens the door to grace and restoration.

    Step 6: Readiness for Change

    Theme: Willingness & Transformation
God never forces change—He invites us into it.

Step 7: Ask God to Remove Shortcomings

    Theme: Humility & Dependence
God’s strength meets us in our weakness.

    Step 8: List People Harmed

    Theme: Accountability & Awareness
We begin restoring relationships by honestly acknowledging harm.

    Step 9: Make Amends

    Theme: Courage & Reconciliation
Amends are made wisely, safely, and with healthy boundaries.

    Step 10: Daily Inventory

    Theme: Spiritual Maturity
Daily reflection helps protect long-term healing.

Step 11: Deepen Connection with God

    Theme: Intimacy & Discipleship
Prayer, Scripture, and worship ground us in lasting freedom.

Step 12: Serve Others & Share Your Story
